Something New in Old Field

Some projects stand out because of a great client, or a great contractor, or a great location, or a great design. This Bouler Design Group project, a shingle style house in Old Field, had all of the above. Working Gerold Brothers, no detail was too small for consideration and no corners were cut. The project took time from variance hearings to construction, and I remember James and Nick working on the plans on my hospital bed soon after I delivered Jackson, who is now five. The curving walls, the strong barrel element, and the connection to the waterviews made this residence one to remember.
James is currently working on another high-end residence with Jim Gerold of Gerold Brothers, this time in Brookville, NY. It features another unique element: a 2,500 sq. ft. space devoted to the client's model train collection, whose passion for trains started when he was a child. It's very rewarding to see how client, contractor, and architect can collaborate in achieving the best result.
