wow! How much of the rest of the cottage are you adding to / changing to match the more modern aesthetic? I'd love to see it in person. SA!
We're thinking of painting the bottom half charcoal grey-- so it kind of fades away and showcases the monolithic wood slab. At least that's the plan :)
Feed me details - what species of wood, what treatment, how big - I'm salivating over the pics!
It's mahogany with several layers of clear coat-- that's definitely where we spent our budget.
