In the Details

I stopped by the Oak Beach project today to check in on the client who moved in a few weeks ago. I was pleased to see the master bathroom's progress, which features some very innovative, sustainable products. The sink is a coated recycled metal that looks almost like glass and picks up the same color scheme as the stones and the tile in the shower stall. I was astounded by the color variety in the stone, which makes choosing a wall color hard to narrow down since many would look smashing. The client also reused a leaded glass window between the master bedroom and the bathtub, creating an airy feel to the bathroom, allowing her to see the panoramic view of the water. As for the guest bathroom, a ceramic tile mimicking wood will be used, keeping with the organic look of many of the interior details. Though I was focusing on bathrooms, I couldn't help but snap a pic of the reclaimed wood on the stair treads, which seemingly float on steel beams.

That bathroom must be gorgeous. I love the reclaimed wood on the stair treads. I could just imagine hearing a pair of high heels coming down those stairs on their way of making an entrance.

I can assure you that our lovely client could make that sort of entrance!
