In art news this week, Japanese photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto has left Gagosian Gallery to join PaceWildenstein. Known for his atmospheric beach images and monolithic movie theates, Sugimoto's black and white images evoke the surreal sensations of dreams while remaining representations of reality.
