Modernemama, with her wonderful blog Beach House, tagged me today to write about six (un)interesting things which make me happy. After reading her list, which I completely loved by the way, I scratched my head and pondered how I could possibly narrow it down to six things. So here goes: 1. the color of a landscape at dusk. 2. encaustic painting-- this terrific one by Portland artist Rachel Austin 3. wooden floorboards 4. a copy of the New York Times-- a cup of coffee optional 5. a morning snuggle 6. a freshly sharpened pencil.
Oh, and did I mention a glass of red wine on a Friday afternoon? But that might fall into the category of interesting.
