The Empire State Goes Green

What could be a more influential move to further green energy efforts than retrofitting one of the greatest architectural icons, The Empire State Building? The New York Times reports that as part of their already scheduled renovations, the owners of the skyscraper are including eco-friendly, alternative energy resources, hoping to reduce energy consumption 38% by 2013. Hopefully it sets the stage for more buildings to reduce their carbon footprint. C'mon, everybody's doing it.

thank you for sharing this! I read about it in the paper and then that night they lit it up with green.
